Lou
Reed is one of the most important artists to grace the
world of rock. He is a dark poet who has influenced
both the punk and post punk movement, as a member of
Velvet Underground. Selecta is proud to present this
double album, the first disc contains a show recorded
in 1972 where Reed presented the album Transformer,
accompanied by a band that was clearly touched by both
the garage and the glam movement that brings a breath
of fresh air to this repertoire (a breath that was absent
on the live album recorded a few years later with a
different band known as Rock and Roll Animal).
The second disc offers a show from the end of Velvet
Undergroundīs career, when they presented the album
Loaded in small clus throughout the US. Both discs are
special treats for both fans of Lou Reed and rock music
writ large. |
